Signs that need urgent attention
- Difficulty breathing or collapse
- Suspected poisoning
- Severe bleeding or trauma
- Straining to urinate or calve
- Repeated vomiting or bloating
- Seizures lasting more than a few minutes
What to do
Stay calm
Keep the animal warm, quiet and still, and avoid food or water unless we advise it.
Travel safely
Use a carrier or blanket to support an injured animal, and bring someone to drive if you can.
